Breaking: Fedora Linux 44 Virtual Release Party Announced
The Fedora Project has officially announced a global virtual release party for Fedora Linux 44, scheduled for Friday, April 24, 2026, days before the final stable release. The event marks a tradition of celebrating the community’s hard work and will feature live sessions, deep-dives, and social activities.
“This party is about honoring the months of collaboration from packagers, writers, artists, and every contributor—whether longtime maintainer or first-time user of a Fedora Atomic Desktop,” said Jef Spaleta, Fedora Project Leader. “The release belongs to everyone.”
Event Details and Registration
The half-day event is free and open to all, but registration is mandatory to access the virtual venue. Attendees will use Element Creations (powered by Matrix.org) as the chat and streaming platform. Register here to join the live celebration.
